Thanks to everyone who cheered me on during the Quirk show!
It was a blast to participate in Stephanie Gagos’ annual Quirk show. This was the third year I’ve been part of this fun and quirky show and it always fills me with joy and renews my spark for creating. I’m happy to say that all of my pieces found lovely new homes. I’ll be working on creating some new pieces that I hope to add to my shop in the upcoming months. Please reach out or sign up for my newsletter if you’d like to be notified of upcoming events, shop updates and other studio news.
Believe
Amazing things can happen when we believe!
Acrylic, wax pastels and collage on 8 x 8 inch wood panel. Sides painted black. Sealed with a satin varnish. Wired and ready to hang.
Cheers
Sometimes we need to raise a glass and say cheers. Whether it’s in celebration or to toast that you made it through a hard day. This creature surely agrees and may have raised more than one based on the look in her eyes!
6 x 6 inch mixed media painting on paper mounted to cradled panel. Sides painted black. Sealed with a satin varnish. Wired and ready to hang.
Frog Song
This piece is made up of layers of paint and collage and was so fun to make. The flowers are made from pieces of a vintage song book. I was close to being finished and decided to grab a bag of random pieces of collage. The first bit of paper I pulled out had a small portion of a poem on it that read “The green frog that garrumped at me”, so of course I had to add it. I’m not sure I’ve heard a frog say “garrump” exactly, but I do love their frog songs.
Acrylic, wax pastels and collage on 8x8 cradled wood panel. Sides painted black. Sealed with a satin varnish. Wired and ready to hang.

Treat Yourself
The world seems a little brighter while eating cake, don't you think? Remember to treat yourself with something that brings you joy.

Leap
Sometimes we hope for a big change to take place when we “kiss the frog", only to end up with a frog wearing a crown. But you’ll never know what kind of transformation may be ahead until you take that leap.
Acrylic, wax pastels, collage and pencil on 12 x 12 inch wood panel that is mounted to smaller cradled panel so it “floats” out from the wall. Sealed with a satin varnish. Wired and ready to hang..
Flower
“No matter what life gives you, always protect your little flower of hope.” ~ Alexandra Vasiliu

Garden Angel
I love seeing all the winged creatures busy at work when I’m in the garden. These garden angels do it all for free and are a joy to watch.

Today
I love using collage in my work. I don't read the words that I’m putting down or plan what will remain showing once I’ve finished adding layers of paint and other media. Often what remains speaks to me in profound ways. In this piece, there are some words visible from bits of a vintage song book that read "when is the time". When I read them, the first word that came to mind was "today". I often need to be reminded that the best time is Today! Not when everything is in place and perfect in my mind. Embrace Today.
Acrylic, wax pastels, collage and pencil on an old, school eraser board students used for practice writing. I love knowing it has been in many tiny hands to help them to learn and now has a new life as a piece of art.
See
This is a special piece to me. It’s one that I started back in 2019 and has gone through a lot of transformation along the way. Many times I was close to painting over her, but every time I pulled her out to do that, she would whisper to me that her story wasn’t done yet and to keep going. So I listened and she would reveal herself to me a little more each time. The title “See” is not only about being aware and open to what you can see, but the importance of being seen. I hope you see something special in her too.
Acrylic, wax pastels and pencil on 16 x 20 inch cradled panel. Sealed with a satin varnish. Wired and ready to hang.
Beautifully Different
We are all unique individuals. Sometimes we can get caught up in trying to be like everyone else to fit in. There is such beauty in allowing ourselves to be seen as who we are and letting our differences shine. You are beautifully different!
Acrylic, wax pastels and pencil on 12 x 16 cradled wood panel. Sides painted black. Sealed with a satin varnish. Wired and ready to hang.
Did Someone Say Cheese?
This piece reminds me of one of my old school photos gone wrong or when I attempt to take a selfie. But it also reminds me of how happy my dog gets when cheese is involved. I can’t help but smile back at this character and hope he makes you smile too!
6 x 6 inch mixed media painting on paper mounted to cradled panel. Sides painted black. Sealed with a satin varnish. Wired and ready to hang.
Hello Love
This guy makes me smile every time I see him and I hear him say “Hello” in my mind. Hope he brings you a smile too. I wrote “listen” as part of my layering process and it didn’t get covered up. When I saw it and the tiny heart on his hand, I was reminded of this short and sweet poem.
